bodhifox gave me a B, so here we go:
Bilbo Baggins - bonus points for double-letter score! First of the hobbits; the first line of his story drew me in forever. "In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit." Dear Bilbo.
Betsy - heroine of "Understood Betsy", one of my favorite childhood books. I learned right along with Betsy all about resourcefulness, strength, independence, and friendship. There was another Betsy who came along much later, when Kidlet and I read the Betsy-Tacy books together *fond cuddlesome memories*.
Billina the Chicken - Dorothy's companion in "Ozma of Oz", possibly my very favorite of all the Oz books. Billina was laying an egg beneath the throne of the Gnome King and overheard the secret that saved everyone.
Benedict - one of the Nine Princes in Amber, Roger Zelazny's opus. I liked him, though he was quite mysterious. And that arm!
Buttercup - the Princess Bride, of course; Most Beautiful of all women ever, perfected by sorrow. I still have my original paperback edition, from long before the movie.
Anybody want to play?

I think the film is fantastic. I ended up buying the US DVD, because the UK DVD was practically blank when it came to extras. It had some pictures, and the filmographies of the main actors, and that was it! The US version is far better. :oD
