Moonridge 2007: Confirmed!

Okay, I took the plunge and I'm going to Moonridge again this year. Whoooot!! I decided to stay at the Best Western since it seems most of the gang will be there, and since there weren't any beds available I got my own room. So... if anybody hears of a latecomer looking for a place to stay, I've got an extra bed in my room -- I'd love to have a roommate.

And now I have a little question for the Sentinel folk who will be attending -- think there'd be any interest in me doing a brief 8- or 9-minute belly dance, maybe at the bar on Friday evening to add to the festivities? (The hotel permitting, of course, and then there's the question of me overcoming the altitude.) Since I'm not a writer or an artist or an icon-maker or a vidder, my dancing is about all I have to share with my fandom friends at get-togethers. I'd be honored, and it's a pretty good ice-breaker!

Whoops, late again, sorry. Your comment made me laugh, because I'm hoping *nobody* will take pictures! Dancing pictures tend to come out rather badly -- you're always scrunched up in some odd position, or your face is contorted, or something, LOL. We'll see how it goes!

Heh, yeah, I'll have to see if I can pull this together (I'll have to get permission from the hotel to do it). Most folks don't mind -- back in the heyday of Bellygrams in the 80s, dancers used to be able to just walk in anywhere and perform and everybody was into it, but that doesn't happen much anymore. I don't know if anybody is "in charge" of arranging things for Moonridge events, but I'll try to keep everybody posted. Looking forward to it!

I wish I was going, then I'd get to meet you *and* see you belly dance. I bet everyone loves it and most people try to join in (or beg you to show them how you do it).

Oh, I wish you were going too -- that would be so cool! One of these days, Sarah... It would be great if everybody wants to join in; it makes it so much more fun. Wish you could be there.

Hey Sally, thanks for adding me to your friends list. I can't wait to see you next week before we head out to Moonridge. I would've eventually gone on my own if not one offered to share a room but it's so much more fun if you have friends to hang out with. I can't wait to see old friends and make some new ones. I'll have a camcorder with me so if you want to do
some belly-dancing I'll try to keep up.*g*

Hi June! Thanks for friending me back. I'm still trying to work through my email -- I want to answer you with some more details. Hopefully that will happen tonight (the problem with my email is that it includes everything on the lists so I keep getting distracted by story references! My bad.)

I know how it is with those story references. I get distracted with them too. I can't get any work done.*g*

I've printed some stories out to take with me and I am saving some stuff for when I get home. I'm bringing a Zine I haven't read yet. I'm looking forward to relaxing and reading as I make my way out to you. I like taking my time getting there and I'll still have three days to hang out before returning home. It will feel more like a vacation this way.....
