Ahhhh, nuts -- I fell for another meme! So here's that one with the :

I'm a Mandarin!

You're an intellectual, and you've worked hard to get where you are now. You're a strong believer in education, and you think many of the world's problems could be solved if people were more informed and more rational. You have no tolerance for sloppy or lazy thinking. It frustrates you when people who are ignorant or dishonest rise to positions of power. You believe that people can make a difference in the world, and you're determined to try.

What I like about this? Is the even spread I got -- I'm only a "mandarin" by a slim margin. Now, I've only seen "Talents" and "Mandarins" on my flist so far, so I have no clue what a "Lifer" is. Is that like, a plugger, or something? Oh well -- nice to know I've got a bit of it all. Heh!

I've been sick -- caught the Nasty Cold and Sore Throat from Hell from Kidlet. So, 'scuse me while I hack up a lung...

That cat looks like my old roommate Puck who now lives with the donkeys (they're doing well) He is a time-traveller and able to shift through walls. he also kept me company when I was long-distance dating someone and often spent nights home alone, many years ago. Cap'n Puck! I salute you!

Hi Sally!I have no idea what that meme is about.

Puck sounds remarkable! As well he should, with such a name.

The meme, like most of 'em, is just a trifling bit of weird silliness. Carry on.

I'm a Lifer. Here's what it says:

To you, a job is what pays the bills. You put in your hours, follow the rules, and then go home. Occasionally, you consider quitting, but then you think of how bad the job market is and you reconsider. Whatever happiness you get, you get from your life outside the workplace. Relationships, family, hobbies, and outside creative pursuits are what really matter to you. You're probably taking this test at work because you don't have anything better to do.

That pretty much sums it up. Except the last sentence...it's not that I have better things to do at work...it's that, for security reasons, we're not allowed to access non-work related sites.

That's what I thought it might be -- thanks! When I first got into fanfic and discovered slash, I used to read it at work. I lived in fear of getting caught and fired, with a huge scandal to boot. Now I only access the Cascade Library for a really boring lunch hour, and even that is very seldom. The further I get into menopause, the less concentration I have for reading somewhere as distracting as my office.

Good to see you!

I got it

I'd never seen any of movies on the movie question, and have no idea what they're about, so I picked one at random. And I'm unemployed so I didn't have a good answer for lots of the questions. This seems accurate enough, though: "Relationships, family, hobbies, and outside creative pursuits are what really matter to you."
