March 14th, 2007 07:02 pmI'm a Mandarin!

You're an intellectual, and you've worked hard to get where you are now. You're a strong believer in education, and you think many of the world's problems could be solved if people were more informed and more rational. You have no tolerance for sloppy or lazy thinking. It frustrates you when people who are ignorant or dishonest rise to positions of power. You believe that people can make a difference in the world, and you're determined to try.

What I like about this? Is the even spread I got -- I'm only a "mandarin" by a slim margin. Now, I've only seen "Talents" and "Mandarins" on my flist so far, so I have no clue what a "Lifer" is. Is that like, a plugger, or something? Oh well -- nice to know I've got a bit of it all. Heh!
I've been sick -- caught the Nasty Cold and Sore Throat from Hell from Kidlet. So, 'scuse me while I hack up a lung...

Date: March 15th, 2007 05:00 am (UTC)To you, a job is what pays the bills. You put in your hours, follow the rules, and then go home. Occasionally, you consider quitting, but then you think of how bad the job market is and you reconsider. Whatever happiness you get, you get from your life outside the workplace. Relationships, family, hobbies, and outside creative pursuits are what really matter to you. You're probably taking this test at work because you don't have anything better to do.
That pretty much sums it up. Except the last sentence...it's not that I have better things to do at work...it's that, for security reasons, we're not allowed to access non-work related sites.

I'd never seen any of movies on the movie question, and have no idea what they're about, so I picked one at random. And I'm unemployed so I didn't have a good answer for lots of the questions. This seems accurate enough, though: "Relationships, family, hobbies, and outside creative pursuits are what really matter to you."
