1. Elaborate on your default icon.
My belly dancer alter-ego *smile* -- I found the picture while doing an image google, andklostes made it up into an icon for me. (At least, I *think* that's how it happened... klostes? Am I right?) I loved the vibrant colors and the contrast between the red and the blue.
2. What's your current relationship status?
Married, 1 child.
3. Ever have a near-death experience?
Like a see-the-white-light thing? No. Never even been in a serious accident. I did think I was going to die, once, but that's not the same thing, and it wasn't even true. I was just afraid. I'll have to tell that story sometime.
4. Name an obvious quality you have.
I asked my husband that just now. He said "You're nice." Guess that's a pretty obvious quality, all right!
5. What's the name of the song that's stuck in your head right now?
None, actually. Although, I've been listening to one of the Brothers of the Baladi CDs I bought last weekend, so I've had lots and lots of drumming going through my head lately...
6. Any celebrity you would marry?
I love Aerianya's answer: "You're kidding right? Why would I marry someone who would probably spend more time looking in the mirror than at me?" And no, can't think of any celeb I would marry. For that matter, I can't think of *anybody* I would marry, except of course Peter.
7. Who will cut and paste this first?
Probably nobody, because I'd be willing to bet I'm the *last* person in LJ-land to do this.
8. Has anyone ever said you look like a celebrity?
Absolutely not. Because I don't, not even remotely.
9. Do you wear a watch? What kind?
I wear a plain Timex with a biggish, easy-to-read face, with real numbers -- none of those dots or dashes. I have a few, all pretty cheap, to match with what I'm wearing, sort of.
10. Do you have anything pierced?
Again, this is from Aerianya: "Only ears, 2 holes each ear."
11. Do you have any tattoos?
No, but I really wanted to get one when I turned 50. Kidlet pitched a fit though, and halfway convinced me I'd regret the permanence of it. But mostly, I couldn't settle on a meaningful design, and I didn't want something that wasn't meaningful.
12. Do you like pain?
HELL no. Definitely not my kink!
13. Do you like to shop?
HELL no. Again, definitely not my kink! Er, thing. That doesn't mean I don't like to buy things, but having to shop for them? Yeeeech.
14. What was the last thing you paid for with cash?
A blended chai.
15. What was the last thing you paid for with your credit/debit card?
Several bags of hard candy, and some Weight Watchers candy. Hee! Way to lose weight.
16. Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?
Kidlet, who called to tell me they were on their way to the restaurant so I could stop working and meet them there.
17. What/Who is on your desktop background?
I have Webshots, which changes the wallpaper every day. Right now it's a gorgeous picture of the Japanese Gardens in Portland, Oregon (waves atklostes).
18. What is the background on your cell phone?
LOL, I just got my very first phone that has bells and whistles like wallpaper! It's a picture of the Gilmore Girls (well, I got the phone from Kidlet, who got the new one I was entitled to upgrade to -- a blue Razor, in fact, which she thinks is all that and I could care less about so taking the older phone is no problem for me considering my own phone was about 8 years old and is now non-existent and can't be maintained any more and she had downloaded all kinds of wallpapers and ring tones so I inherited those too and that's how I got the Gilmore Girls *deep breath*)
19. Do you like redheads?
In general, yes -- I have always wished I had red hair, one of the really beautiful shades that comes with a perfect complexion and lovely green eyes, LOL.
20. Do you know any twins?
I don't actually know a set of twins, no. I know someone who has a twin, but I've never met the twin. Hmmmm.
21. Do you have any weird relatives?
Let's face it, *all* relatives are weird.
22. What was the last movie you watched?
