Okay, I've sort of been going on and on about this exhibit (but it really was too cool), so this will be the LAST POST about it. I found this link: http://www.artinteractive.org/shows/patternlanguage/files/gallery.html, which shows some of the things on display, although some are older or different versions. Also the descriptions given aren't the same as the ones I read with each piece -- the ones I saw were much more detailed. But still, it gives an idea of the scope of the pieces, and implies that it's a collected exhibit that seems to travel to different museums. Huh. I sure don't know much about museum curatorship and all...

Date: July 14th, 2006 06:55 pm (UTC)This site actually loses touch with the some of the depth I found in the exhibit, because the accompanying blurbs are so much less informative. Looking at that double-necked sweater for example -- the blurb is almost jocular. The one I saw talked about embracing, and giving an actual space for, bipolarity and how it is so much a part of so many of us. MUCH better blurb, IMO.
