Y'know, when I crash out at 9:30 and wake up again at 11:30, I'm pretty much done for as far as any sleep for the rest of the night. And I do have to be up by 7 to go to work. Aaarghhh.

There are things I want to post in my journal. Speculation about why my flaming liberal left-of-left side is at war with my pragmatic side over this immigrant issue. Thoughts on reconnecting, after twenty years, with my first love. Grouses about work. Joys over Kidlet. And recording some of my memories, which is a big part of why I keep my journal.

There's grist for the mill, all right. Just, the mill wheels aren't turning. *Frustrated*

What is the perfect exercise for someone who hates exercise?

What's the best way to care for sore pierced ears that can only tolerate my purest gold hoops right now? I miss my funky dangly ones!

That is all.

Sorry you're feeling so up in the air lately, Sally. ::hugs:: I hope you do get back to writing up LJ - I like seeing your entries.

As for your ears, I'd wear your pure gold or just nothing for a while to let 'em settle down. I have the same problem although, oddly enough, it's gold that tends to set me off. I'm far better with silver.

Aw, thanks, Sarah. I love that icon! Calvin and Hobbes -- so sweet.

Well, hopefully I'll get my groove back soon, eh? And I guess I'm sticking with the gold hoops for awhile, with lots of hydrogen peroxide as suggested by my friend Klostes. If I take them out for any length of time, I get just as many problems putting the first pairs back in.

I wish silver would treat me better -- it is by far my preference for jewelry. *Hugs*

From what I recall, H2O2 isn't really recommended for wound care anymore (and I learned that doing wildlife rehab 15 years ago, so who knows what current thinking is) because it damages living cells. Most professional piercers recommend salt water rinses, I think. Not that I have piercings; even my ears closed up years ago, so. Take that with a grain of salt (which you can then dissolve in water and use to rinse your ears. :-D)

Maybe you can find dangly earrings with pure gold wires?

Glad to see you posting, even a little. *hugs*

Hydrogen peroxide, lots of it, and only the gold for now. It sucks, but something's set them off and it takes time to calm them down. *I* miss your funky dangly hoops!

Sounds like spring fever, sort of. ;-) I was up last night, too, in the middle of the night. Hope you finally got some sleep before your day started today.

Okay, thanks! I'll break out the HP and use a bunch -- and stick with the boring hoops for now.

Heh, and to think, we could've been online together in our sleeplessness... I think I finally fell back asleep between 3-3:30 -- playing solitaire over and over until winning has a nice, mind-numbing effect.
