I was tagged for this meme game by [livejournal.com profile] daisy_gamgee, so a-posting I must go. *mumblemumblelet's see, what am I supposed to do firstmumblemumble* Ah, okay:

"Ground Rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 weird habits of yours" and people who get tagged need to write an LJ entry about their 5 quirky habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names."

Five quirky habits? I have to come up with five quirky habits??? Ummm, I don't think I have that many... *looks innocent*. I shall do my best.

1. I have to do my morning grooming in exactly the same order every day, every time, or I get all kerfluffled. *Sigh* Okay, that's not too quirky -- everybody's that way, right?

2. I do a lot of things by count, and if my count is thrown off I have to start over. You know, 100 strokes with the hairbrush, or the pick, or whatever it is I'm using on my hair that day. And when I hand-sew, for hemming or mending or whatnot, I have to make five knots in the end of the thread, and three knots to tie it off on the fabric. Things like that -- there are lots of other examples. Oh god, OCD much?

3. I prefer to eat salads with chopsticks. Actually, I prefer to eat with chopsticks in general, whenever I can.

(My family just came home, and when I asked them if I have any quirky habits, they drew a blank. See??)

4. Okay, Peter *did* think of one for me: I tend to have an itchy scalp, so while I'm reading on my laptop I can spend hours combing through my hair with my fingers, pulling out loose strands and giving this really satisfying *tug* to my scalp. Eeeuw, maybe.

5. And here's my one *really* quirky habit -- I tend to think rather strongly, and sometimes I accidentally let my thoughts play all over my face, or even start to vocalize. Like, I'll relive conversations or arguments, sometimes thinking of all the things I should have said or done, and before I know it I'm practically acting the whole drama out. Ditto for anticipating upcoming events or meetings or whatever. Sometimes I'll get so involved in my inner dialogue that I won't realize I've said something out loud until Peter starts giving me odd looks. Then I have to laugh it off with "Oops, just thinking out loud." Only, sometimes, it's so intense and involved, I swear I'm in the beginning stages of Tourette's Syndrome. *hopes not* Because, yeah, it happens while I'm walking down the street or something, and I realize I'm grinning like an idiot because I'm off on a tangent somewhere, or frowning, or looking tragic, or wherever my thoughts have taken me. Then I furtively look around to see if anybody's taken any notice (which, thankfully, they don't seem to). Let's hear it for the inner life, huh?

And now, I get to tag five other hapless souls. How's about [livejournal.com profile] linaelyn, [livejournal.com profile] estellongshanks, [livejournal.com profile] anneheart, [livejournal.com profile] haleth, and [livejournal.com profile] arnie1967? (Of course, you don't have to do this if you don't want to -- I'll completely understand if you're quirk-free.) *g*

*snicker* Yeah! I know there have been a thousand times when I've laughed something off as "just one of my special quirks", but try to think of one under pressure? Nahhhhh.
