Ha. It must be a new year. I've just been overcome with new ideas and urges and thoughts -- and that's just sitting here at work. I want to take up my guitar again (despite the painful hands). And I *really* want to get involved with the belly dancing again! So.... I just googled "belly dancers" and my town, and got some email addresses of a couple of the old-time dancers. Maybe I'll contact them about possible troupe involvement... maybe something will come of this.

Meanwhile, it's peaceful here. Everybody else left at 4:00; I'm on until 5:30. Calculating my long list of GRE scores, groovin' to Dylan old-school, pleased that -- YES!! -- I got all the backlogged mail from the applications opened, sorted, and filed.

Not bad at all, really.

Yeah! I think the two cups of chai might have had summat to do with it, too. *g*

Belly dancing and guitar...you really do sound ambitious. I'v never been talented music-wise. I played the piano years ago and was only so-so at it and I learned to play the dulcimer, when I used to particpate in Revolutionary War re-enactments, but I was never very good at it. Belly dancing? uh, no. *g*

LOL! Well, doing it, and doing it *well*, are quite different things, aren't they? I'm not musically talented at all, and only learned to pick out the simplest folk-type tunes on my guitar -- but I did learn enough to sing my Kidlet to sleep when she was younger. I have a dulcimer too! But never learned to really play it. The dancing, welllll, that's my main thang -- I guess in all honesty I'd have to say I'm pretty good at it. Thirty years of it has at least garnered me some expertise!

Oh, I so hope you get to dancing again! That would be awesome! We bought Eldest a guitar for Christmas; I hope he catches on to it. We'll see. I loved mine when I was his age.

Sounds like a good day all around, for you. Yay! *g*

Heh. See my reply to Lin. I mean, yes, it's been a good and productive day... but before the chai, I was nodding out at my desk!
