Lookee, lookee!

I found Christmas icons! And Hannukah ones, and aesthetic one, and book ones, and I must have downloaded a few dozen or more to my laptop. So now, I am all of teh season.

For some reason this year I'm all about being in the mood for the holidays. I want to hear Christmas music, I want to get the tree up and the house decorated, I want to BAKE COOKIES. I think on Sunday we'll be doing all three -- it's the one unmarked day on the calendar. Whoot!

And never mind that I'm a Southern California girl who never gets to see snow -- I *love* this snowy icon! I'll rotate more in for your viewing pleasure. Eventually. *Smile*

I'm still in grinchy mode, so much so that I'm subconsciously avoiding even uploading the grinch icons that inkling pointed out for me. Every time I open that page, I just somehow find myself walking away from teh computer for some non-urgent task.

I'm glad you are enjoying the holiday spirit this year, though. More power to you.

Yeah, some years -- maybe most years -- I'm sort of dreading the whole holiday schmeer. Don't know what's up this year -- part of the scrambled hormone syndrome, mayhap. It's kinda nice, though. Work's getting so bad, maybe it's an antidote?

I saw a Dread Pirate Roberts icon over at aesthetic icons or book icons, can't remember which, and thought of you!

I'm having the same odd occurence: Absolutely IN to the holiday, when the last year or two I haven't been. Music, decorations, and I still need to bake cookies. Or at least make my cream cheese pastries. Yum.

Yes, it's funny isn't it? (This Christmassy mood, I mean.) Maybe it's because for my Webshots screensaver I activated only my seasonal pictures here and at work, so I get a constant barrage of holiday pictures in a slideshow... pure subliminal messaging!

*Sigh* It's Sunday night -- wait, it just turned into Monday morning -- and it took us all day to get the tree up after searching the whole bloody town for a tree stand (the old one gave up the ghost when we tried to put it on). We did play a little Christmas music while Peter performed the manly duty of stringing the lights (such a good Jewish boy), but that's as far as we got. Guess two out of four ain't so bad, huh?
