shiredancerEh, it's been busy the last couple of days! Have been *very* bad, spending a good deal of my time at work on LJ and other fascinating topics, and only very leisurely getting any real work done. Ah, the joys of summer slowdown! Hmmm, maybe I'd better friends-lock this...
So yesterday I enjoyed the fascinating process of joining a whole slew of Weight Watchers communities, and now my friends page has, like, tripled. I'm even thinking of following![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
magickalmolly's example, and setting up a new journal for my *ahem* weight loss journey. Duh, I should've done that first, then subscribed to all those communities under the new username. *facepalms*
Right now I'm feeling the grad-student lurve -- one of my grads who just completed qualifying exams has brought me two sprays of orchids and a thank-you note. I got another bouquet last week from someone filing their dissertation, and a box of cookies from yet another newly-minted ABD. There are *definitely* perks to my job! I hope they know that it's truly my pleasure to help them out.
