6:30 a.m., still can't sleep. Time to get up anyway, ho hum. Stupid stomach ache.

And now... I don't know whether to roll on the floor laughing at myself, or to just sit here and seriously blush in mortification. I just learned, courtesy of magickalmolly's journal, that I have been blatantly misusing the word "wank" since I first heard of it here online two years ago.

I... ummmm... thought it was synonymous with "whine." Really.

So whenever I've created an entry with the subject along the lines of "Serious Wankage Here!" or whatever... I thought I was referring to serious *whining*. LOLOL! So what have y'all been thinking of me all this time, I wonder???

I had no idea, whatsoever, that the word means "masturbate."

Not to mention that I adapted the word to my regular life, and have been known to say at work things like "Aw, I'm just wanking..."

Actually, "wank" is used for *so* many reasons, including masturbation and making fun of people and complaining and....so, hey, why not use it for "whining"? I doubt if many people in Santa Barbara hear it much to know what it means, anyway.
