... a hobbit fancier. And I'll take mine in pairs, please.

We finally saw the Scooby Doo movie tonight -- yay! Yes, it was pretty bad, but it made me laugh anyway. I nearly fell out of my seat during the belch/fart competition, and the part with the switched personalities. My husband and I were snorking and guffawing through most of it, which I guess tells anybody reading this something about us. Could have lived without Scrappy Doo, but then I never cared much for him anyway. Daisy, yes, Scooby slash is in order here -- that *blond* with Shaggy was just wrong!! Let's get jinkie with it...

(I just asked my husband if Shaggy should be paired with Scooby or Fred, and he answered "Does it matter?"!! I think I'm going to turn him into a slash appreciator yet!)

Now, why is it that hobbits are referred to as "hairy" (in the quiz results pics)? Because of the feet? I have read, and re-read, Tolkien's descriptions, and I'm just not getting "hairy." Dammit. 'Smatter of fact -- if they don't have beards, and keep getting mistaken for pre-pubescent boys, which leads me to believe there are no externally obvious secondary sex chatacteristics -- do they even have pubic hair? Inquiring minds want to know.

Oh, I didn't want to admit to laughing as much as I did over the belch/fart competition. I was accompanied by a 9 year old boy and a grown man with the sense of humor of a 9 year old boy, and try *very hard* on general principle not to find that stuff funny. But I laughed so hard I could barely see the screen. Achh, the company I keep!

Toldja! I thought naming the blonde chick "Mary Jane" was a cute play, but yeah, she was *all wrong* for Shaggy. Who's yer best buddy in the whole wide world? Rooby Roo!

Oi, don't even start me down that path, Daisy! Can't let this imagination too far on the loose. You write the descriptions, so I'll leave that up to you... or maybe you can start a poll on your LJ...
