Had some wonderful mother-daughter time tonight, playing with our... NeoPets. Yep, that's right. We both have 'em. Kidlet just signed up (again) yesterday, and has already set herself up with the maximum of four pets. Ambitious kid! I directed her to babynames.com when she asked for help in that department, and she chose a whole slew of international names -- Japanese, African, etc. I thinked she learned something about the variety of names out there today! Hmmmm, and they all start with "A", so I think she didn't make it past the first of the alphabet. She looked carefully at the meaning of them all, too, and chose accordingly. *Proud*

I showed her some of the freebies that daisy_gamgee had shown me, and we both got free omelettes -- wheee, well-fed NeoPets! And I introduced her to some fun games, although she was definitely not interested in playing the math game for Neopoints. She did help me figure out 6x7, though... I bought her some toys and a book dto give her as soon as I can neofriend her, but that can't happen until I send in the parent's permission slip. Huh. It made me feel kind of good, despite the rampant consumerism of the whole game, that they at least try to look out for the interests of the younger children playing.

She can't wait to spend vast quantities of money building her pets a house. Hasn't quite grasped the concept that she has to *earn* all that dough first, though. *smile*
