daisy_gamgee, I read Chapter 20 today and left Secrut Commints for Yew at the end! And it took me *all day* here at work to read it, between sneaking in and out of LJ with constant interruptions, and the way I tend to really s-l-o-w d-o-w-n when I'm reading THoU, as you have witnessed yourself. I swear, I drink that story in more slowly than anything I've ever read in my life.
It is
*WONDERFUL* and
*FABOOLIOUS* and all manner of other good things, as you will see in the Secrut Missag.
Much love,
ShireDancer

Date: May 20th, 2004 07:04 pm (UTC)And guess what, I bought all three of the Nightrunner books last night! And I had to go to three different book stores to get them all, too *nuts*. OMG, the opening page of Luck in the Shadows is a surefire hook! Who can resist wanting to know more about poor Alec, all hurt and sobbing in that dungeon?

Date: May 21st, 2004 06:01 am (UTC)I only had the first one when I started reading, and about when I hit page 3 I realized that I had to have the other two so I could just keep reading. Oh, no, an emergency trip to Borders, such a bother. ;D
Remember, though, that I'd deeply character-driven, so don't get worked up that the world/plot she's created are deeply original. But these two characters--*wow*.
