Earthquake!

OMG OMG OMG... Just jolted out of bed by a really noisy, sharp shake. *peels self carefully off of ceiling...*

*trying to get breathing and heartrate under control*

*failing miserably*

Kidlet had to maneuver out of my clutches after I grabbed her and held on for the duration, not under a doorway but for some reason under the pinnacle of our cathedral beamed ceiling. bzuh???

I think I was having a *really* bad dream at the time, too. I usually have a little more aplomb over something as common as an earthquake in California. Can't remember, now, though. Just a bad, bad feeling.

*Pound* *Pound* That's my heart. Don't think I'll be sleeping any time soon...

Cheeky kidlet just said "Happy Mother's Day!"

Hee! I realized I never responded to you and Inkling, and I hate to not respond when someone has been so kind as to leave a comment on a post. *ahem* Soooooo... thanks for your concern! And tell Estel to just wait, karma's gonna get him... right at 2:17 a.m. someday! Yeah, the typical California shake-up. Where would we be without our fault lines...
