Gacked from the lovely [livejournal.com profile] linaelyn, who has begged off of comments for the day and over whom I wave my wizardess wand (I have suddenly sprouted my purple hair again) and say "Granted, love!":

Some things in life are comfortingly consistent, my INFP standing being one of them.

That's me, I think. I can never remember what I come out on the real test, except that I'm an IN somthing or other.

Yes, that does sound like you! Well, the INTP part, not the Lord Voldemort part. I can see that fitting a writer's personality.

Fun little things, these quizzes!

Although the questions are so similar every time in the Meyers-Briggs type tests that it's very, very easy (especially for the smart and educated) to make it come out the way you think it ought to, and thus get consistent results, regardless of how one actually thinks/feels about a particular question. Mind you, I still think INFP suits me quite well, but if I'm in a different mood I can get INFJ and ENFP.

Oh yeah, the M-B is actually pretty easily manipulated once you know the ropes. I used to administer this test when I worked in a career center at the local city college, and learned a lot about the interpretations too. I've seen my results vary on the scale, so that sometimes I move closer to E -- and I agree, it can be a mood thing. Silly things, these personality tests! Not to be taken seriously by any means.

And heck, I can usually tip the balance on most of these online quizzes too. The *real* trick is to try to be strictly honest with myself!

But hey, I'll take Prof. Lupin. Grrro-o-o-w-l-l-l!
