Was out of town again this weekend -- I'm ready to stay at home for the next month. Or maybe two. There are just waaaaay too many family commitments, since we are within relatively easy striking distance of both sides. Even though we were in the most hellacious city on the West Coast (that would be L.A., thank you), at least we got a bit of folkdancing in, as the occasion was a 20-year reunion of one of the big folkdance clubs in L.A. Not enough dancing to be worth the drive and the traffic, though!
This marks the end of a very long string of activities that started with Thanksgiving -- every weekend involved either some travel out of town, or planning the next major event, or dealing with it. I sort of feel like the New Year has finally arrived -- it's a good time to sit back and take stock and make some commitments and decide what I'm going to do next. It also means the umpteenth attempt to get back on the Weight Watchers treadmill, oh joy.
Let's see, there must be *something* to look forward to after HobbitCon. Isn't there? *sniffle*

And yeah, those busy, busy times really do leave one looking forward to the downtime. Here's to focus and priorities and may they always be the fun stuff, like belly dancing and crafts!
