Happy New Year?

shiredancer50 minutes to go until the year changes over for us here in California. It is not the best new year's ever; I'm feeling achy and out of sorts, the holidays were rushed and barely-felt, and I'm wondering when I'll emerge from the bit of funk I've been in lately. Went to a friend's party tonight for awhile, which was nice and all but not my usual stay-at-home new year's with homemade soup and bread and deep, contemplative thoughts. Probably it's a good thing it's not the same every single year, but it doesn't necessarily mean I'm going to appreciate the occasional off year. Nary a deep thought going on here, not a plan or a goal or even a flimsy resolution in sight. What does this mean?
Well, p'rhaps some Advil will help. Off to take some, maybe stare at the fire awhile, maybe look at some stars at midnight. Maybe it will feel better then.
