In a burst of benevolence I brought some homemade hummus in today, for my co-workers. One of them is an absolute fiend for the stuff, and they all love it -- it's my sure-fire best contribution to all the department potlucks. So midway through the day I went to help myself to my third serving and noticed... a spot of blue mold on the pita bread. Did I discreetly shovel the bread into the trash and say nothing, so that everybody could continue to enjoy their snack with the remaining unsullied bread? Why, no. No, not me. My first, and unfortunately loud, reaction just jumped out of me. "Ewwwwwww!!!! There's mold on the pita bread!!" Brought all the hummus eating to a dead halt while everybody pondered the possibility of botulism or whatever food poisoning might derive from moldy bread spots. *Sigh* If I get sued in the near future we'll all know why.

Okay, kidding. I don't *think* any terrible harm comes from slightly moldy bread... does it?

A little mold won't hurt anyone. Just a little penicillin, that's all. Although -- I did almost die from a penicillin reaction as a child. So you may very well have saved someone's life yesterday. Look at it that way, not that you ruined their lunch.

Good to see you're still around!

LOL! Okay, I'll look at the bright side of it. Your childhood incident sounds really scary, though.

And yep, I'm still around! A bit sidetracked lately with The Sentinel, but ready to get fully re-immersed in LOTR with the DVD and ROTK. LOL! (Sorry, just seeing how many acronyms I can string together...)
