Whew. Holidays are taking a bigger toll out of me than they used to. And no, I refuse to acknowledge that this might have *anything* to do with age. More with the uncomfortableness of costumes -- yep. By the end of Friday I was *so* longing to yank off those false eyelashes and wash out that sprayed-on hair color. A hot shower was bliss.

But I had fun, I did. In a fit of silliness Halloween night, I... um, I trick-or-treated. And guess what? I learned that if you wear a cool costume, and smile charmingly, and say "trick-or-treat" right with the kids, and stick your plastic pumpkin out... well, lots of people don't care how old you are and cheerfully give you treats! Some even get a real kick out of it! It became sort of a game, to size up the client and see if they were going to go for it or not. Young guys, single guys -- a definite "yes". Older women and older couples, yes again. The toughest customers were the single women closer to my age. Nah, they weren't falling for it -- the charming smile just doesn't cut it there. And of course I sized up the candy bowls too, and didn't venture to beg where the treats were getting low -- can't be responsible for having the kiddies lose out, after all. But I gotta say -- it was *fun*!

And oh yeah, here's

mumble... mumble... let's see if I can actually do this...

C'est moi

ETA: Oh *SHIT*, this picture is *huge*!!! Is there any way I can make this smaller? Without photoshop? Ummm, open at your own risk, I guess...

ETA again: Whew, my husband fixed it. The picture is more or less normal size now. Much better!

Ohhh, wow! You look gorgeous! Especially the eyelashes are great! Wheeee!
Do you have any picture editing program? Paint, for example?

(My friendslist is customized, I just put you on my Halloweenpix list. ;) I'm Frank N. Furter. :) )

Thank you! For the compliment, and for the picture tip -- I'll see if my husband can help out with that, although images aren't quite his thing either. I saw your Halloween pix -- they're *fabulous*! Oh, and of *course* you're Frank N. Furter -- I should have figured that out. *Lurve* Tim Curry as Frank...

Awwww, thanks, Anne! But I gotta say, I think *anybody* is gonna look pretty with purple hair, body glitter, and sparkly false eyelashes! It's just the magic of Halloween, after all.

Woohoo! You're not just pretty, you're GORGEOUS, luv!

What a fun halloween costume. ANd go you for trick or treating! Rev. Rache received a bit of loot as well, for having such a cool costume. If you build it, they will give you candy, iks the lesson, I believe.

Must get to posting those pics.

Hee! Good for Rev. Rache. And maybe that should be "if you thrust the pumpkin out, they will fill it"!

Oh yes, I wants to see pics, I do.

LOVELY!

Now I DEFINITELY want to be you when I grow up. {{{Sally}}}

I ALWAYS give candy to the parents when they come to the door. Hey, if nothing else you deserve a treat for going out and about with your kids.

LOL! Thanks. But you'd only want to be me on Halloween. You should see me today, in my overalls and back to my plain old self. "Pretty" doesn't even enter into it.

And good for you, for treating the parents! I have to say, it's a new idea to me -- but then we don't get trick-or-treaters where I live, so I've not seen any parents venture to the door. I think it's a great idea!

Humph. Still didn't get my pic of Daisy-lad, did I? *maybe you can bring some to the HobbitCon in January, oh hard bold and wicked one?*

Actually, I'll be working up the courage to put it all on again and get Mr Spouse to take a piccie by a tree in the park or something cute-n-hobbity like that.....

Pretty!
