Almost home...

I have such a great kid. She's old enough to stay home alone on these odd days where she's out of school but I'm not quite out of work -- but I don't *like* it. She's twelve, she's almost a teenager, blah blah blah -- I still can't help worrying.

So she calls me every hour so that I can be reassured. "I'm bored." "I didn't do my project yet! Sorry!" "Your funny comb doesn't work very well on the bunny..." (She meant my hair pick, which... yeah. Was not meant for combing animals.)

LOL! Twenty minutes, then I'm off for the rest of the holidays and until January 3. YIPPEE!!!!!
