And has it really been a week since I last posted? Here is the spam gacked from virtually everybody on my friends list, the last one being [livejournal.com profile] indigo_moon:

1. Dr. Pepper or Mountain Dew?
Neither. No sodas whatsoever (I don't like fizzies; never have, never will), and no source of caffeine either -- perhaps that explains the lack of posts. No coffee, no real tea, no nothing. Except, of course, chocolate.

2. If you're a cola drinker: Coke or Pepsi?
See above.

3. Iced tea: Sweet or not-sweet?
Nope, see above. No tea, just herbal. Not iced.

4. Do you know where the Precious Moments Chapel is? If so, have you ever been?
As everyone else has been saying: huh??? There is such a thing? Oy vey.

5. Do you like licorice?
Ick. No. (Straight from Indigo.)

6. If you are married, did you do the Chicken Dance at your wedding? If you're not married, will you?
No, but we had belly dancing and folk dancing at our wedding, and swing, and waltzes, and good ol' rock 'n roll. The Chicken Dance would not have been my dance of choice, no.

7. When the "Electric Slide" or the "Macarena" strikes, you:
a) Get up and dance
b) Leave the room.
c) Make snide comments about those who do dance.
Oh now, this is me, folks. I don't know the Electric Slide, but I'll surely get up and do the Macarena. I don't mind looking silly anymore.

8) Beer or wine?
Both, but not at the same time. Depends on my mood. (Just like Indigo, again.)

9) If beer: Bud or microbrew?
Microbrew. Or a nice Corona. Something that *tastes* *good*.

10) If wine: Merlot, Chardonnay or White Zinfandel?
White Zinfandel for me, please. I used to love a good, smooth Gamay Beaujelais (sp?) but nobody makes it anymore. Greek Retsina is good, too.

11) Hotels or bed and breakfasts?
Bed and Breakfast with my husband, hotel with the kid.

12) Mexican resort or Scottish castle?
My heart is in the British Isles, so definitely the Scottish castle, first. Then the Mexican resort to thaw out, hear mariachi music, and eat Mexican food.

13) Do you ski?
Never have, ever.

14) "Who Moved My Cheese?"
a) Genius
b) You have got to be kidding me.
Huh?

15) Butter or margarine?
Margarine, except if a recipe specifically wants butter.

16) Sour cream and cream cheese: Lo-fat or fully leaded?
Lo-fat, because I've found some that tastes good too.

17) What happens if you stick your tongue to a frozen flag pole?
I've heard stories about that.

18) What movie does the line "What's your damage?" come from?
I'll have to agree with those who say "Heathers" although I've never seen it. My best friend says it's a great movie though.

19) Ice cream or yogurt?
Ack -- why do I have to choose? Ben & Jerry's Phish Food ice cream, and Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie frozen yoghurt. Please, don't make me choose.

20) Ranch dressing: What is it good for?
a. Ummm...salad?
b. Nothing! It is satan to my thighs
c. Everything, man. Dip your pizza in it.
Every damn thing. (Yeah, I'll keep that one, Indigo.)

21) G-Strings, granny panties, or something in-between?
Sigh. In-between. Colorful bikinis, cotton or silk. And I loathe and despise the word "panties" -- men don't have to put up with cutesy names for their undergarments, why do women???

22) Hobbits or elves?
HOBBITS! Hell yes.

23) Merry and Pippin or Frodo and Sam?
Crikey, you should all know this one. Merry and Pippin. Forever.

24) Barbeque: Sweet, tangy or spicy?
All of the above. Mmm-hmmm, here's another where I agree with Indigo.

25) The song "Proud to be an American."
a) Makes me cry.
b) Makes me cry really hard.
c) Makes me wish I could be proud to be an Australian.
Uh... there's a song called "Proud to be an American"? I can't say I've ever heard it. At a guess, I'd say I'm pretty lucky.

26) Were you in a sorority in college?
a) Yes! And I'm now president of my alumni chapter. Wanna sing some drinking songs?
b) Yeah. It was fun. But that was then...
c) Don't remind me
d) You have got to be kidding.
Please, I didn't make it to a university until I was 30. Sorority? Not on your life. Wouldn't have done it at 18 either.

27) Do you smoke?
a) Like a fiend. You got a problem with that?
b) When I'm out drinking with friends
c) Absolutely not!
Not since the year my girlfriend and I smoked Marlboros when we were 14. I stopped when everybody laughed at me because I couldn't light the paper matches -- they scared me. Lucky me.

28) Sweet and gooey or salty and crunchy?
Oh yes, all of the above, but separately.

29) Do you eat breakfast?
In the car driving to work; a vegetarian sausage patty. Don't ask (but really, they're yummy).

30) What's your favorite holiday?
Christmas, English traditional with all the trimming. Just because it's fun. I consider it a layperson's version of the holiday, since on the religious side of things I'm a mess.

Good, that's done. I wish I didn't have to use a computer so intensively at work; I'm so burned out when I get home that I can hardly bring myself to look at LJ or make comments. Sorry, loves, will try to do better!

Wow!

Just. WOW.

I must have viewed my friends' page without logging in or something, the day you posted this. Excellent post, and I commented more at the site (since that's locked and this isn't)

Not TMI. But a powerful and beautiful memory, absolutely.

((((Shiredancer))))) Thanks for sharing.
