Almost midnight!

Happy new year, you wonderful flist, you! *Hugs tightly* It's just about ten minutes to midnight... guess I better wake Peter up or he'll sleep through it and I'll have nobody to kiss. Kidlet is at a party and we have had a marvelous time here all by ourselves *wink* *wink*. We polished off a bottle of wine, had a fire in the fireplace, ate a late supper of homemade soup and biscuits (the savory kind), played lots of Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell on the CD player, and, well, the rest is too personal even for LJ but there was a slow-dance wearing nothing but my jewelry involved...

A pretty good end to a tired old year; a pretty good start to a bright, shiny new one. May it be good to all of us! *Toasts*

Hee, this "grown-up" New Year's Eve was a long time coming -- after *many* years spent with Kidlet watching the Sesame Street New Year's Eve video. Still, the wonderful wine effect only lasts so long... hence the post!

I *do* hope it will be a good new year. *Raises current cup of water*
