Just to prove I'm still alive.
September 3rd, 2007 02:01 pmSeen everywhere...

It's bloody hot here, and yet I'm working hard, clearing out our bedroom upstairs (physics note: heat rises). Somehow, I always find it appropriate to labor on Labor Day -- the autumn energy is starting up, I can tell.
Now it's off to the grocery store and Starbucks for a nice, cold blended chai. If I get a bunch more work done after that, maybe I'll go for an evening dip in the pool and celebrate with a holiday (vegetarian) hot dog.
*Hugs flist tightly, if sweatily*

Date: September 9th, 2007 04:22 pm (UTC)The downstairs flood was cleaned up a while ago, but since everything got dumped upstairs... that's still going on. Making some progress, though -- if I actually get it all done, it might be the first time in *years* that both the upstairs and the downstairs have been tidied up and in order at the same time. Miracles!

Date: September 9th, 2007 04:27 pm (UTC)Yeah, that crisp air and long slant of light in the fall are perfect for starting fresh, I think. Nice to know we're in sync on that (as in so many other things, for that matter). I've made real progress upstairs, at last -- buying some new, not-too-expensive furniture storage pieces is going to help a lot; we'll probably get them in place this afternoon.
More soon! *More hugs*

Date: September 9th, 2007 04:37 pm (UTC)I agree, working in the heat is terrible. I forget whereabouts you are located... you're not one of the UK Senfen, are you? (I notice you spelled it Labor, not Labour, so that's a big clue!) Anyway, I hope you're getting some relief by now. We're starting to cool down... it's much better. Progress being made on the cleaning front too, yay!
Always good to hear from you, Slip *hugs*.
