Why, hello!
October 22nd, 2004 05:30 pmHuh, haven't posted in... almost a month!!?? Can that be right? Ooo la la, that's a new record even for me. *smacks own hand (saving everybody else the trouble...)* Must improve; bad ShireDancer.
But really, I've spared my poor journal the misery of constant posts consisting of "Busy at work! Busy at home! Taking care of adolescent girl-child!" And we've all been sick, too. Yucky nasty coldses we have. Tickly irritated throatses. We don't likes it, preciousss, no we don't.
The busy-at-work part is the same-old, same-old, never-ending cycle. This is when I usually post that I'll be heard from less often because the admissions season has begun and I'll be sucked into its vortex, not to emerge until May. But hey, hard to get less often than I've been of late!
The busy-at-home part is a bit of a surprise. I've sort of re-engaged with Real Life. Weird, eh? I've been doing things like... cleaning my house, OMG! I've uncovered surfaces that haven't been seen in *years*. See, there *is* a sewing table under all that junk! And I *do* have a dresser! Haven't had the guts to tackle the desk yet. I've even re-emerged at my weekly sewing class... er, that would be the equivalent of
white_trillium's Stitch 'N Bitch group. After about three years of cutting out faux-fur pieces, I actually stitched together the first parts of the first, trial reindeer. *beams*
Since my day-to-day life is being such a bore, I've been plotting some of My Memories to put in my wonderful online journal. I even drafted the whole Weirdness in Boston story in the shower, awhile back. Now I just have to kick the mind-to-fingers synapse back into gear. Meanwhile, it feels so good just to post again and say hi! *Smooch*
