shiredancerAh, it's the witching hour -- always my favorite time to post.
We rented "Secondhand Lions" tonight, and loved it. It's quite an extraordinary cast. Guess we'll be seeing the Garfield movie tomorrow -- Kidlet adores Garfield, and I'm prepared to at least put up with it. Don't see how it can compare to the other summer shows that have been so great -- "Shrek 2" and the third Harry Potter (although I must say, that is *nothing* at all like how I pictured Remus Lupin). And "The Day After Tomorrow" was just a for-fun-only summer dissaster movie -- it's been a while since I've seen one of those. Implausible as hell, of course: hey, let's bring on an ice age in, oh, fifteen minutes or so... On the other hand, it's escapism I love and it's escapism I got.
Work is exciting -- since I got so much of the financial stuff done already, the summer will be spent inputting my new grad student database -- wheeee! Seriously, databases are kinda fun. Speaking of which, it's late and I'm tired and I need to get to bed if I'm going to get to work on time.
