I'm having an absurdly happy couple of days here -- and I'm enjoying Halloween this year just all to pieces. But first -- I got to trick or treat with y'all, and this is what I got:

Had a pumpkin gathering last night, with pumpkin soup, muffins, and beer -- yummmm. And my kidlet made Moldy Bones breadsticks all by herself, shaped like... bones... and they were *so cute* and *so good*!! Will have to add that to the repertoire for Pumplkin Night. Everybody ate candy and carved pumpkins after, and it was fun. Although I was a Bad Mommy and let kidlet neglect her homework, so that she had to stay up until *1:30 a.m.* to get it all done! But she really wanted to finish and was such a trouper. Wonder if she's still awake at school?...

Today I am a Wizardess. I *LURVE* my costume. It's a cheap storebought spellcaster thing, just a black polyester shift with an over robe with silver/iridescent (sp?) moons and stars. But I sprayed my hair white and purple and glitter, and have purple eyeshadow and silver body glitter and *looooong* false eyelashes, and I feel... ethereal. Plus, I have an authentic Hermione Granger Wand (tm) and a real Harry Potter Hedwig Owl (tm) on my wrist AND my Arwen Evenstar Authentic Reproduction Necklace (tm), so I am just quite done up. Or at least a walking advertisement for various media products. *snicker* Will take a picture tonight and with any luck, will post it.

Meanwhile... *waves HG(tm) wand* I have cast a spell for you all to have a wonderful Halloween filled with happiness and magic (of the good kind)!
