Am completely boggled. How much fellowship assistance did this kid get last year, and what's still owing for this year, and how did I leave him completely out of the paper trail in May when I prepared all the forms? Hmmmmmm. Gotta figure this out; it's driving me insane. Final figures due tomorrow.... yikes.

I want LJ to offer two more mood icons: boggled and bemused.

I know this feeling.

This is the feeling I had a few years ago when a transfer from savings to checking bounced unexpectedly...and we discovered that by failing to *uncheck* a checkbox during the refi, we were getting our mortgage payment deducted from our SAVINGS account. We were also PAYING it by MAIL out of our checking account, simultaneously.

Yep, double-payed the mortgage for 9 months. Well, at least it was paying down the principal, and we had it in the account. Still, it could have been a horrible fiasco, if we'd bounced things somewhere other than internal trasfers among our own accounts!

Some days, paperwork is just a huge pain.

Whoa -- double-paying the mortgage for 9 months! That's gotta hurt. But hey, no worse than about a year ago when I found that I'd been getting paid too much at work for 6 months (I'm 85% time but was getting paid for 100%) -- did I notice? Naw. Had to pay it all back, too. Bleh.
