4 am insomnia post
June 18th, 2006 03:45 amAnd it's been quite a while since I've done this. Up all night and nary a yawn in sight. Have I mentioned that menopause *SUCKS* big time???
But at least I get to post. No, our online connection still isn't fixed -- but our very kind next-door neighbor has wireless and is allowing us to tap into it. If I sit just so on the couch, I can stay connected. Bwah.
So, Kidlet graduated yesterday and it was a truly miserable experience. Do they purposely make sure that all graduation ceremonies are as punishing and grueling for the parents as possible? Outdoors on the bloody hottest day of the year (so far), broiling in the heat, and now my shoulders are lobster red. The ceremony itself was sweet -- junior high kids singing songs and givingtedious heartwarming speeches. Kidlet looked adorable in her summer dress -- actually all the girls looked like a flock of colorful butterflies. Quite a thrill for them.
I've been immersing myself in belly dance stuff lately -- going to take some classes and workshops this summer! The online communities are fascinating -- I'm getting quite an education in the latest hoopla at Rakkasah. Kerfluffles do go on, don't they? *g*
Ah well, off to play some solitaire... almost guaranteed to put me to sleep. Almost.
