Still Raining

And the rain-induced euphoria is starting to wear off. And there was no hobbit-pile last night. (At least, not while I was on -- then I gave up in despair, and actually paid attention to my forlorn little girl. However, I had some very nice in-depth chats with who_took and haleth before I left.) Sigh. Am feeling just a tad bit lonely. Is everybody well? Ought I to worry?

I am also wondering... and I don't usually ask for things... if anybody feels like making me a new icon? I don't have Photoshop and don't know how to do graphics anyway -- I'm such a loser in that sense.

If we could only have some thunder and lightning to go with the rain! I am in a mood for thunder right now. I would love that.

And I looked for you last night, when Hal and Who said you were there, and didn't see you??? Perhaps I've typed in your handle for AIM the wrong way. (you could e-mail it to linaelyn@livejournal.com, if you like?) Though I suspect you didn't miss much last night, me being um, a bit tequila-ed up and being rather weird. *blush*.

Hmmm, don't know why you didn't see me -- it's just "shiredancer" on AIM. However, I didn't see you either so maybe we just missed each other. I left around 9, as my daughter seriously wanted me to do a jigsaw puzzle with her and have hot chocolate. So I did. (Mine was liberally laced with amaretto; even better than tequila in my book!)

Oh, I'm so boring with the icons -- I like the hobbitses! I know -- I would love something with that new picture that was up on msallegro's LJ the other day -- the one with Merry and Pippin wearing the robes and booties. But it's too big, of course. Something real slashy would be good too. And I thought you got all your icons from Hope?? Thank you though -- if you come up with something hobbity I will love you twice over!

I'm not really dienchanted with the rain, but it's all settled down into a steady drizzle now. Yesterday was exciting with heavy downpours. Thunder -- yes! I wants it! It's so very, very rare here.

Yes to the chat too -- I like it when we get to really talk. Funny how I see it, and hear it, as talking, eh? Because I'm lousy on the phone -- I hate telephone talks, in fact. Chat is just right.

Oh, and you know what? I really would like to read those snippets you mentioned. I read something this morning that was *not* Merry/Pippin, and I actually enjoyed it! I can do this. Yes, I can. Besides, having read and enjoyed your many various posts that are writerly, I know I like your writing. So send away, if you are so inclined.

I came on at about 9:15, I think, since we sent the sitter home at just past 9. Well, next time, and special daughter time is much more important.
