Heartbreak on the Bike Path!

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh... little dead bunny on the bike path! Wahhhh. Last week there was a snake trying to get across -- bikers were spreading the word to be careful, but when I passed him he seemed to be stuck. Kept darting his head forward but not actually going anywhere. I hope he made it.

What am I doing online? I have to allocate the entirety of next year's block grant money today! Okay, that will take all of one hour -- no need to panic. Filling out the Form 1 is easy-peasy. In fact, when you work in a major bureaucracy like the University of California, the standard forms and paperwork are the *easy* part of the job, once you set aside your resentment of the whole malarkey. It's the unique exceptions and problems that are difficult, but they keep the job varied and interesting. Loads of problem-solving skills going on here.

*Back to work*

ETA: There's apparently some kind of text on my new icon, but danged if my 52-year-old eyes can make it out even with a magnifying glass. Can anybody tell me what it says?

This morning, when I was leaving for work, I saw a bunny in our front yard. I'm surprised we still have them this late in the year - usually the fischers or coyotes or cats get them. Once, we had a cat who would bunny-nap the baby bunnies and bring them into the house to raise as her own (she had no desire to kill them) and we'd have to have bunny 911 to get the bunny back where it belonged.

*sigh* A bunny's lot is not an happy one (misquote from Pirates of Penzance). Hard, being low on the food chain. I can't help but be glad your cat tried to rescue some bunnies -- it is to her credit.

I have a pretty freaking bunny story, its not fun. Dead bunnies are no fun.

*hopes the bunny is in a happy place*

*agrees with the hope*

Nobody can read text that size. The letters are like, two pixels high. Magnify all you want, there's not going to be enough definition. I see that in icons a lot lately and I'm not sure why people do it. Oh, I just looked at it in paintshop. The letters are one(!) pixel high.

Sad about bunny. :-(

LOL! Okay, I'll give up on the text. Yes, I have noticed that a lot of icons seem to be done that way -- I guess it's part of the aesthetics, or something.

Yeah, the bunny made me sad. Ah well.
