Weekly WW post

Weighed in this morning and was down 1.4 -- whoot! I'm really happy with that. Here's the little ticker thing:

Otherwise, though, I was pretty unhappy with WW yesterday. I've been relying on their instant shake packets lately, blending them with milk and ice and malt to make a reasonable facsimile of a malted milk shake. Looked closely at the ingredients, and realized they're made with *aspartame* -- nasty bad stuff! So now I have to rethink the whole shake idea. Not only that, but another of their products is made with MSG -- I thought they had our health in mind? Yeah, I know, I'm sounding like a health-food nutcase, but there are a *few* artifical ingredients I would rather not ingest.

Oh well. Onward and downward.

ETA: Okay, how do I do a crossposting? I had to retrieve my latest post (at the WW community) and copy and paste into my own journal -- isn't there any easier way? LJ seems to only give me the option to post in one journal (or community) at a time.

I use a client that allows me to choose the option don't clear entry after posting. Then I can post an entry in two places, one after the other, without copy/paste from the first entry.

You can download a client here. (http://www.livejournal.com/download/)

Congrats on the great start in the weightloss!

I have resorted to making my own shakes, because the ones at the store are all either artificially sweetened or designed for people who need to gain weight. Handful of almonds, couple-three calcium/magnesium tabs, a banana, whatever kind of frozen fruit I have, little bit of flax seed oil, protein powder, skim milk, and a little vanilla. Of course I'm pregnant and making shakes mostly cause I was having trouble getting down enough protein (tummy=squished) and have no idea what you'd want to put in one. I suspect mine has quite a lot of calories, too, but there's no refined sugar and it's plenty sweet enough.
